Taking the reigns of Blue Heron Soap Company in March 2020 was a risk worth taking. After many meetings with Peggy Breedlove Gerard (Blue Heron’s Founder), my husband and 4 children were excited to begin a new chapter. With a BA in Chemistry from the University of MN Morris, 15 years as a personal and business coach, and 3 years working on a startup company many aspects of owning Blue Heron Soap Company feel right–like details from past experience are daily coming into play. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow and create for you and your family and friends healthy, handmade, sustainable soap for years to come.

Tote Bag
Inspired by her desire for unique and creative items to fill her own shelves, Kathy took matters into her own hands, literally. She handmade the first “primitive candle box” in 1997. Crafting the box by hand, taking care into each detail from the sanded edges to the type of ribbon tied on the wire handles, each was a work of passion. Driven by her innate creativity and entrepreneurial spirit – the product that started it all was born.

ADAM TURMAN is an artist, muralist, and screen printer, from Minneapolis, MN. His bold style offers colorful takes on beloved Minnesota landmarks, the great outdoors, and riffs on our everyday. Adam’s murals can be found throughout the Midwest, and his screen prints in private collections worldwide. He works with major brands, independent businesses, and private collectors to make art part of our everyday.
